What does the free trial include?

Seven days, 3 AI Credits and 3 AI Updates, no card. Everything else — projects, every view, transcripts, Ask, the MCP server, your own AI key — works in full. On day 8 the dashboard asks you to pick a plan to keep working; your projects are kept. With a referral code the trial is 14 days and 5 AI Credits. See Plans & credits.

Does AI generation always cost a credit?

Yes — one credit per generation or transcript extraction — unless you have Bring your own key enabled (available on every plan), in which case generation runs on your own provider key and consumes no sprintrr credits. A run that fails or that you stop gives its credit back. Status updates draw on AI Updates instead, and asking your project is free. Manual work, tracking, exports, and the MCP API never consume credits, except transcript extraction through the API (1 credit, like in the app).

What happens to unused credits?

They roll over up to your plan's cap and reset on your monthly reset date. See Plans & credits for per-plan limits.

Who can bring their own AI key?

Everyone. BYOK is available on every plan, including the free trial — there's no upgrade required. See Bring your own key.

Do my credits disappear while BYOK is on?

No. They're paused, not consumed — your balance is preserved and available again as soon as you turn BYOK off.

Can I edit an AI-generated project?

Completely. Every milestone, task, estimate, and the suggested stack is editable, and you can add or delete anything. AI generation produces a strong first draft, not a locked plan.

How is time tracked?

Automatically, based on task status. Time accrues while a task is In Progress and stops when it leaves that status; re-entering resumes accrual. See Tasks.

How does milestone progress work?

It's calculated automatically from the status of the tasks assigned to the milestone — you never set it by hand. See Milestones.

What's the difference between a personal and team workspace?

Personal projects are private to you. Team projects are visible to every member of the team. On a free team everyone uses their own plan and AI Credits; on a Teams plan, members with a seat spend the team's shared AI Credits in its projects. A project stays in the workspace it was created in. See Teams.

How do I invite someone to my team?

You need to be the team's owner. Open Team settings → Invitations and enter their email address. They get an email with a link that works for 7 days and once; they sign in or create an account with that address, then choose Join or Decline. Resending sends a new link (the old one stops working). If they decline, the team can't invite that address again for 30 days. See Teams → Invite people.

Do team members share AI Credits?

Only on a Teams plan, and only for members with a seat: in the team's projects their generations and transcript extractions spend the team's pool, which the owner pays for. On a free team, in a team where you have no seat, and in everyone's personal workspace, each person uses their own plan. Team settings → Seats shows which applies to you. See Plans & credits.

What happens to my work if I leave a team or delete my account?

Work you did in a team stays with the team: your projects, tasks, milestones and folders there move to the team's owner, and your comments keep your name. Your personal workspace is untouched when you leave; deleting your account deletes it. See Teams → Removing someone, or leaving.

How do I tag a teammate in a comment?

Type @ in a task's comment box and pick a team member from the list. They get a dedicated "you were mentioned" notification. Mentions only appear in team workspaces (a personal task has no one else to tag). See Comments.

Can AI tools change my projects?

Yes — via the MCP integration. Every MCP change is recorded in the Activity feed as source: mcp with the key name, so automated edits are auditable and distinguishable from manual ones.

I lost my MCP API key — can I recover it?

No. Only a hash is stored, so the full key is shown once at creation. Revoke the old key and create a new one. See MCP → Create an API key.

Can I export my data?

Yes — tasks, milestones, or a whole project as CSV/JSON, plus reusable templates. See Data & export.

How do I cancel?

Settings → Billing — cancel anytime; access continues until the period end, and you can reactivate before it lapses. See Plans & credits.
