Fireflies

Connect Fireflies with an API key and pull a meeting's transcript straight into transcript extraction — read-only, only when you ask.

on this page

Fireflies is the one meeting tool sprintrr pulls from directly. Every other tool — Zoom, Teams, Meet, Otter, Granola — works by pasting the transcript into Transcripts → tasks.

    Connect

    1. In Fireflies, open Integrations → Fireflies API and copy your API key.
    2. In sprintrr, open Settings → Integrations → Fireflies, paste the key and click Connect & verify. sprintrr checks the key with Fireflies before it saves anything.
    3. Once connected, the panel shows the Fireflies account it's connected as, the first and last four characters of the key, and when you last pulled a meeting.

    Pull a meeting

    1. Open a project and click Paste transcript in the project header, or press ⌘K and choose Paste a transcript.
    2. Click Browse meetings. You see your 15 most recent Fireflies meetings.
    3. Pick one. Its transcript loads into the box as Speaker: text lines, so the extractor can tell who said what (consecutive lines from the same speaker are merged). Very long meetings are trimmed to the 60,000-character extraction limit.
    4. Click Extract tasks as usual: sprintrr proposes task creates, updates and removals, and you approve each one. One AI Credit per extraction (unlimited on your own AI key).

    What sprintrr stores

    • Your API key, encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), plus its first and last four characters so you can recognise it.
    • The Fireflies account name and email, when Fireflies returns them, so the panel can say which account is connected.
    • When you last pulled a meeting.

It does not store your meetings. The meeting list and the transcript are fetched when you click, and only the task changes you apply are saved to your project.

    What sprintrr never does

    • Write anything to Fireflies — the connection is read-only.
    • Join, record or transcribe meetings.
    • Pull in the background. Nothing is fetched until you click Browse meetings.

    Disconnect

Settings → Integrations → Fireflies → Disconnect deletes the stored key. Tasks you already created from Fireflies meetings stay. You can reconnect any time with the same or a new key.

    If the key stops working

If Fireflies rejects the key (it was rotated or revoked), sprintrr says so when you browse meetings. Create a new key in Fireflies → Integrations → Fireflies API, then disconnect and connect again in Settings → Integrations → Fireflies.
